Madelyn: 15 month Stats...

Madelyn had her 15 month well check visit today and overall, the doctor said she looks great.  She has a little bit of a loose cough, but that seems to be leftover from a snotty nose a week or so ago.  She also has a small rash on her tummy that the doctor thinks is Folliculitis and should hopefully go away with some hydrocortisone cream and Neosporin over the next few days.

She got three shots today and was not a happy camper throughout the exam and shots.  Stranger anxiety is in full swing and she cried the minute the nurse or doctor came close to her.

Here are her stats:
Weight: 22 lbs (33%)
Height: 30 in (32%)
Head: 18 in (42%)

Madelyn: 15 Months Old...

Oh sweet Maddycakes is 15 months old and in such a fun (but so very busy) stage.  She is constantly making us laugh and all of a sudden she just seems to "get" things now.  She follows directions and tells us what she wants (with points, attempts at words and pulling us by our hands).  Her vocabulary seems to be expanding by the day as she tries hard to repeat new words.

She is still into everything and constantly wanting to do everything big sisters are doing.  She prefers to walk by herself when we are out and about and loves to take us by the hand, guiding us to where to go.  Some of Maddy's favorite things these days are: playing outside, coloring, playing with baby dolls (she is OBSESSED), her big sisters, music and dancing.

Maddy is now pretty much down to 1 nap a day.  Depending on our schedule, how busy prior days have been or if she is sick, she still occasionally will take a short nap in the morning.  Most days she goes down though when her sisters do in the afternoon from about 1:30 - 3:30/4ish.  She is a great night sleeper and is usually down from about 7:30/8 to 8/8:30ish.

She is starting to become somewhat of a picky eater.  She is constantly aware of what everyone else is eating and will beg if she sees something she'd rather have.  She is still getting three 6 oz bottles a day of whole milk.  We will eventually push for her to get those in sippy cups, but will probably wait until after her extended stay with the grandparents. :)

She continues to be our snuggler and loves to give hugs and kisses.  She doesn't like to miss out on attention and will push her way in to be seen or heard.

Here is a cute video of Maddy "blowing kisses".

 Happy 15 month birthday, Madelyn!
