It's a GIRL!!!!

Well as most of you have heard by now, Brob is a little girl! We are excited and can't wait to start picking out cute little girl clothes (well one of us can't wait to start shopping!). The doctor said that our baby girl is healthy and measuring perfectly! We are so happy and relieved to hear that she is healthy and that everything looks good. Here are a few pictures from our ultrasound (sorry the pictures are kind of fuzzy...we had to scan them).

Baby Girl with her arm up by her face.

Another with her arm by her face.

Her little foot.

Favorite picture of all...her face. The real picture it so much clearer and you can actually see her eyelids!

Halfway there...

I am officially 20 weeks today. It's crazy to think that we are already halfway there! For those that have been asking, here is a pic that Jeremy took today. I thought we might track the changes from week to week a little better, but this was the first pic that we've taken of me pregnant!

As you can see, Jeremy didn't want to miss out on all the fun of the photo shoot so he posed as well. I told him that this would end up on our blog. As you can also see...he doesn't seem to be gaining any sympathy weight along with me.

We are anxiously waiting to find out Brob's gender on Wednesday and most importantly that we have a healthy growing baby! Until Wednesday...

Hail Storm...

Last week, our neighborhood was hit by a bad hail storm (golf ball and baseball size hail). It only lasted 10 - 15 minutes, but did significant damage to our house and Jeremy's car. So for the past week we've been dealing with insurance for both the house and the Altima and getting estimates on it all. According to what we've heard so far, we are going to need new siding, windows, mailbox and roof. Jeremy's car is also getting fixed this week (lots of dents and windshield was cracked in the storm) and they are waiving the deductible...already one piece of good news!

Our neighborhood has looked like a construction site with tons of trucks and visits from contractors trying to solicit business. It's starting to get annoying and we're looking forward to getting it all taken care of. Below are some pictures of the damage that was done.

Brob...

As most of you have heard, we are expecting Baby Roberts (or Brob as we so affectionately call him/her for now) in early November. We've been meaning to send out this blog for quite a while now, but have found that we are just now getting around to it. We are thrilled and look forward to this new adventure! We are officially 18 weeks along and are so thankful to be out of the first trimester and well into the second. It was a rough couple of months with lots of morning sickness (which seemed to last all day) and exhaustion, but now I (Amber) am feeling great and surprised at how much energy I have.

We are new to the world of blogging and will do our best to post updates and pictures as the purpose of this site is to keep our family and friends near and far updated on our journey. Feel free to pass along suggestions as to what you want us to post about as we're afraid our lives aren't too interesting our exciting. :)

To come soon....Brob's gender! We find out in about 2 and a half weeks whether Brob is a boy or a girl! We'd love to hear what your guess is.
