December happenings...

Here is our December in a nutshell...

Maddy made the cutest little caroling Elf at preschool and we loved looking at it at drop off.
Avery was nominated for student of the month (Fish Winner) for November by her class and also the librarian.  We're so proud of our girl!

We made our annual trip to Reynolds to visit with Santa.

This year we volunteered at Christmas Compassion at our church.  We were in charge of kid games and enjoyed serving together.

This girl helped me make some Christmas candy while the big girls were at school.  All of the girls also helped make Christmas cookies, but we didn't get any pictures.
We went to see a live Nativity at a local church and enjoyed some cookies and hot chocolate.
We went to Christmas at the library and enjoyed another visit with Santa.

Christmas (2017)...

We had a great Christmas and it was nice to relax and spend time with family.  We did all of our usual traditions and the girls are at such fun ages to enjoy them all.

We started off Christmas in Ohio visiting Grandma and Grandpa Brauchler.  It was a quick trip (with very few pictures), but we were able to see Grandma and Grandpa and have some fun at the red hotel waterslide.

Christmas Eve we started out with church and of course some pictures.  We spent the day celebrating with the Roberts family.  The big girls and I continued our tradition of serving in the 3 year old class at church (during one of the afternoon Christmas Eve services).  It's a highlight for them for sure.  They both did so great and talked about how fun it was.

We came back to our house later on the evening to get ready for Santa.  We sprinkled reindeer food, set out cookies and milk for Santa, read the night before Christmas and said our good-byes to Sparkles.

Christmas morning we opened presents at our house, had breakfast, played with new toys, worked on a new puzzle and then headed to Nana and Papa's around dinnertime.  We spent a few days celebrating Christmas at Nana and Papa's and then headed home to take down decorations and put away new gifts.

Christmas Programs...

This year both Avery and Maddy had Christmas programs.  They both did great and we all enjoyed watching them perform.

Avery's program was at the end of November and they sang songs about all of the Winter Holidays.  She did so good and was so excited about her concert.

Maddy's program was right before Christmas break.  She did so great and it's hard to believe that this is our last preschool Christmas program for the girls.  It's always been one of my favorite nights of the year.
