Celebrating Kensley: 6 Years Old...

We had lots of fun celebrating our big 6 year old this year!  The birthday celebration stretched to almost a full week as ours typically do.

We started our Kensley's birthday with cinnamon rolls and her first present.  I was able to have lunch with her at school and then volunteered in her classroom a while that afternoon.  The Lindvalls came over for dinner, cake and presents.
She was so excited because she knew what it was!
Her American Girl doll name Caroline.

On Saturday afternoon, we celebrated with a gymnastics party with friends.  This might have been one of my favorite parties we have done for one of the girls.  Minimal prep and mess, the kids had a blast and were entertained for 2 straight hours!

On Saturday night, the grandparents, aunts, uncle and cousins came over for pizza, cake and presents.  We had a relatively quick celebration before everyone collapsed with exhaustion!

Such a great time celebrating our big girl!

Halloween {2015}...

Halloween 2015 was a fun one and brought the girls several opportunities to wear their costumes.  We went to zoo boo, had several costume birthday parties to attend, went to Truck or Treat, at Great Wolf Lodge, Avery wore her costume to preschool and then of course we had Halloween.  We had lots of company trick or treating this year - neighbors, cousins, grandparents and coworkers.

Here are pics from our various Halloween events.

Fall Break {2015}: Great Wolf Lodge

We spent the girls' Fall Break this year at Great Wolf Lodge in Mason, OH with some good friends.  We had a great time and cannot wait to go back again soon!  Our 2 days there was jammed packed with playing at the waterpark, trick or treating around the hotel and hanging with friends.

Here are some pictures from our trip.

Lately...

We are quickly getting into the new school year routine.  Things have been pretty crazy lately, but we are happy to have a routine back.  It's definitely an adjustment working with two different school schedules...I can only imagine how next year will be once all three are in preschool/school.

Our weekly mom's bible study started back up a couple of weeks ago.  There are 8 of us that meet weekly in each other's homes (kiddos and all).  It gets a little hairy sometimes, but the kids have a blast and we enjoy the fellowship together.  Thursdays, Avery has a dance class that she is in with 4 other little girls (2 of which are her friends).  She loves it and looks forward to it every week.

Our MOPS group also started back up before Labor Day.  I am on the leadership team this year handling the finances for our group.  It's been a pretty big time commitment, but one that I enjoy.  I also started working again at the end of June after we got back from Disney.  I am contracting for a company and planned to work around 10-15 hours a week.  It's been a lot more hours than I prefer here lately, but I am hoping it will slow down soon.

Kensley is also playing soccer this fall in a local church league.  It's just once a week on Saturdays for an hour and a half (practice and game).  She seems to enjoy it and it's been a fun activity for us all.  Kens is also starting Awana this week and will go to that every Wednesday for an hour and a half.  We're looking forward to trying it out this year as we've heard great things about the program.
First practice
Here are a few more pics of some fun we've been up to.
Soccer was rained out so we headed to the children's museum with friends.
We love Miss Erin!

Labor Day Weekend...

We had a fun and busy Labor Day weekend.  Friday night, we all headed to a quick dinner at Culvers and then Jeremy took the big girls Frozen on Ice.  They had a great time!

Saturday, we headed over to Columbus to spend the day and night with the Lindvalls.  We had a good time playing, relaxing and eating and then did a little shopping at the American girl doll store (someone picked out her birthday present).

We headed out bright and early on Sunday morning to spend the day at Kings Island.  It was a long, hot day, but we had a great time!  We all were pretty exhausted for several days after!

Avery: 1st Day of Pre-K!

Avery started her first day of pre-k on Monday, August 31st.  She will go Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday mornings this year.  She was so excited to start school and she seems to love it!  She has several little buddies in her class and is really enjoying her teachers.  We're looking forward to another great year of preschool!

This little one insisted she have a turn with the sign.
