Avery & Madelyn: 4 & 2 year stats...

We had Avery and Madelyn's 4 and 2 year well checks yesterday afternoon.  I have to say, it was the easiest appointment we have ever had.  There was not a single tear and honestly the girls were full of smiles and giggles.  I can't even believe how great Maddy did considering she cried through her 18 month appointment.  It helped that Avery was getting examined as well and she sat right next to her and did everything Avery did.

The girls are looking great and healthy!  Both are growing well and right on their own curve.  Avery continues to be our little peanut and Maddy is almost the exact same size as Kensley was at 2 years old.

Avery:
Weight: 33 lbs (29%)
Height: 39 in (28%)

Maddy:
Weight: 27 lbs (54%)
Height: 33.75 in (47%)

The three amigos!  So happy these girls have each other!

Celebrating Madelyn: 2 years old...

We had a great time celebrating our big 2 year old!

On Maddy's actual birthday, she started the day with her favorite breakfast...donuts!  We spent the morning at Conner Prairie, had lunch with friends at Chick-fil-A and then some friends came over to play after naps.  When daddy got home, we had pizza for dinner, opened presents, had cupcakes and played before bed.

We had a small family party on Saturday, July 11...ice cream themed, of course!  The Lindvalls came into town on Thursday evening and Nana and Papa came down on Friday.  So we had a house full of family for a few days and the cousins had a great time playing together.  Grammy, Grampy, Aunt Kym and Great Aunt Carla came for the party as well on Saturday morning.
The chip lovers!  These two could eat their weight in "orange chips".

So fun celebrating our big 2 year old!

Dear Madelyn: 2 Years Old...

Oh sweet Madelyn,

How are you already 2 years old?!  I feel like I blinked and you went from a tiny newborn to a 2 year old.  I still remember your birth and the weeks leading up to your birth like it was yesterday.  We still refer to you as "baby" in more of the nickname sense and I have a feeling we are going to have to drop that soon before you get a complex!

You are in such a FUN stage!  You are hilarious and LOVE to laugh!  You are a bundle of energy...running everywhere, laughing and singing loudly and making yourself be heard.  You are quite the ham in front of close family and friends.  You love to be the center of attention and love to make people laugh.  You have the funniest fake laugh and I hope I always remember it.

You are still a pretty good eater.  You love to snack and are almost always the first one done at meals.  You have a sweet tooth and your favorite treat continues to be ice cream.

You continue to adore your sisters and depending on the day, it's a toss up as to who is your favorite or "buddy"...as they say.  You and Avery seem to buddy up the most, especially when we are out with friends she usually is the one to look out for you.  You love to be included in whatever they are doing and are usually ready and willing to go along with their plans.  Just last week, I caught them pouring watering cans of cold water on you outside.  You were fully clothed and soaking wet and they were adamant that you wanted to play that game.

You still love all things babies and usually carry one where ever you go.  Your favorite is Kensley's bitty baby that you seem to have adopted as your own.  You love to play outside, swim, go to the park, play with friends and sing and dance.  You like to read books and watch tv or "moo-mies" (as you call them).  You are very specific and know exactly what you want to watch or read.  You are also getting to be very independent.  We hear "I do it" often and you usually swat away our hands as we offer you assistance.

As much as I love the fun stage you are in, I forgot how exhausting two year olds can be.  You assert your opinions often and tantrums seem to come on quick...the throw yourself on the floor and scream kind.  You are also picking up on your sisters antics and now can be known to ask "why?" when asked to do something.

We love you so much, Maddycakes!  Happy 2nd birthday!

July Videos...

A few fun videos to share from July so far.  First we have a 2 wheeler!  Kensley has mastered riding her bike without training wheels!

And next a funny video of Maddy with her shades on (we have a similar video of Avery doing the same thing).

Fourth of July Weekend {2015}

We had a fun filled Fourth of July weekend with lots of friends, family and food!  Despite the chillier weather, we were able to do a lot of fun things.

We started the weekend with Symphony on the Prairie with Nana and Papa and the Montgomerys.  It wasn't my favorite concert ever, but we all had a good time and the fireworks were great!

On Saturday, we spent the day relaxing, grocery shopping/running some errands and then we went to the Baumann's house for a cookout.  After the cookout, we headed home to change into pj's and then head out on the boat with Grammy, Grampy and Aunt Kym to watch fireworks.

No pictures from Sunday, but another fun day filled with swimming at the Montgomery's house, good naps and small group at night!

What a fun Fourth of July weekend!

Disney: Part 4 (Jeremy's phone pics)...

So this one is slightly delayed, but I am just now getting around to posting Jeremy's iPhone pictures from Disney.

Saturday morning, June 13...we arrived at our resort (all in pj's)
Saturday evening in downtown Disney...doing some shopping

A little blurry, but Maddy was so excited to see Ariel.

She conquered Space Mountain!
Playing around on the bus

More silliness on the bus.
