12 weeks old! It hardly seems possible that little Avery is almost 3 months old. She is definitely seeming much older these days as she's very alert and a lot more interactive. She has much better control of her movements...swatting at objects, chewing on her hands, etc. She smiles at just about anyone that will talk to her. With her big mouthy grins, we are sure any day now she will laugh out loud.
I feel like I've hindered her in working on rolling over. She doesn't spend a lot of time on the floor (she's not a fan of her floor gym). In the rare instance that she is, I am usually very close by in an effort to make sure Kensley doesn't trample her. Kensley loves to help me roll Avery to her tummy to work on tummy time and I usually have to watch her close as she likes to try to push her back and forth (tummy to back and so on).
Sleepwise, she is still doing pretty good. Her naps lately have been somewhat sporadic and not as consistent from day to day...I assume that's been more because of our schedule and not trying to get her to sleep at the same time each day. She has set an earlier bedtime for herself already and is usually down between 7 - 8 pm each night. She is still waking around 3 am to eat and then usually goes back to sleep for 3-4 hours until her next feeding. Depending on the day, sometimes she'll go back to sleep until 8 or 9 am.
