This past weekend, we traveled up to northern Wisconsin for the Roberts Family Reunion. The girls did so good on the almost 8 hour trip (each way).
We left mid morning on Thursday and stayed in Sheboygan, WI for the night. We got there early enough that the girls could run around the hotel and do a little swimming in the pool before bed. With the four of us sharing a hotel room, we opted to go to sleep when the girls did and thank goodness we did as both of them were up for the day at 5 am (neither adjusted well to central time). Kens slept with me in one of the queen beds and did pretty well. We weren't able to push the bed up against the wall so I was nervous she would fall out. She is a restless sleeper and I ended up with lots of arms and legs on me throughout the night, but she stayed in the bed!
Surprisingly the girls did pretty well sleeping in the same room with us throughout the weekend. We were nervous that they would wake each other up throughout the night, but it really only happened in the early morning. The latest the girls slept each morning was like 5:15 am...Avery even woke up one morning at 4 am and Jeremy ended up walking her around the hotel to keep her from waking everyone up.
It was nice to see family and meet some of the new little ones. We spent some time swimming in the hotel pool, playing at the beach and on the playground and visiting with family. Avery loved testing out her new walking skills...she was everywhere! She was a little bit of a handful, taking off walking and boldly trying steps.
We didn't take many pictures, but here are a few from the weekend.

And lastly a funny video of our dancing girl. We had a sing a long at Scandia Village on Friday evening to celebrate Grandma's birthday.
Dancing to a rousing rendition of "Yankee Doodle" with Uncle Richard chiming in at the end.
