Maddy Joy is 21 months old and another month closer to turning 2! I say it often, but she is seeming less like a baby and more like a big girl everyday. She is quick to try to keep up with her sisters and thinks she can do everything they can.
Maddy seems to be talking so much these days. She is constantly putting short sentences together and most of the time can let us know what she wants with her words. We are quickly entering the tantrum stage though as she gets frustrated easily if she doesn't get her way or we can't understand what she wants. She has started singing "Jesus Loves Me" and the ABC song (to the best of her ability).
She has also started saying her name this month when asked. We still have to practice sometimes (the girls love to "quiz" her), but she will usually answer "Maddy Joy" when asked her name or who she is.
Maddy seems to be entering the picky eating stage. She still loves to snack and the girl loves treats. Ice cream seems to be one of her favorite desserts and she asks for it often and very loudly. She has started doing this thing where sometimes she holds food in her mouth...specifically when getting treats or after meals. She makes this funny little face with her lips pursed.
