Madelyn: 22 Months Old...

Another month has gone by and I almost missed Maddy's monthly post...can't believe how close she is to two!  She is now 22 months old and acts more like a 2 year old everyday (terrible twos are quickly approaching)!

Maddy continues to love her sisters and being included in whatever they are playing or doing.  She hates to be left out so she is usually following them everywhere.  Her and Avery continue to be little buddies and I have a feeling they will become even closer next year when Kensley is off at school all day.

Maddy's vocabulary continues to expand.  She seems to speak in sentences more often than not.  She knows exactly what she wants and tries hard to express herself.  She often has to say things several times before we understand what she wants.  She also now says "yes" with a little lisp and it's the cutest thing ever.  Hope she doesn't grow out of that too quickly!

Maddy loves to sing, dance, play outside, read books, swing, play with her babies and watch TV.  She will often request to watch certain shows/movies in the care or at home.  She loves (real) babies and doggies.  She loves to be tickled, chased and scared and usually always says "gin" (again).  Maddy still rubs her ear when she sucks her thumb.

Maddy is still a pretty good eater and she still loves to snack.  Some of her favorite foods include: pizza, mac & cheese, berries, donuts, French fries, chicken nuggets, apple juice, broccoli and corn.  She is also a big dessert (and candy) fan and still continues to love ice cream.

This past weekend we turned Maddy's seat around.  It's a few months earlier than recommended, but she was pretty challenging to put into her seat as she'd often stiffen up and fight us.  She seems to like her new view, however she can no longer see her sisters so it's hard to say what she'd prefer.

Happy 22 month birthday, sweet girl!
