2 weeks old...

Wow...once again I can't believe that another week has gone by. Kensley is 2 weeks old today. She's already becoming much more alert. She's been a great baby thus far...sleeps well at night in between feedings and normally only wakes up 2 - 3 times per night. She's pretty happy and content when she's awake and loves to snuggle. Here are a few pictures from the past week.

1 week old...

It's so hard to believe that Kensley is 1 week old today! This past week has flown by and I have a feeling that time will not slow down. We brought Kensley home on Friday early evening and had lots of visitors her first few days at home. Here are a few pictures documenting our past few fun filled days.

This is one of my favorite pictures to date. I went through Kensley's headbands and hats and tried a few on her. She is obviously not too sure about the huge flower headband.

Kensley also saw the pediatrician for her first check-up this week. We really liked the pediatrician and Kensley did great! The doc said that she is doing really well and she's almost back up to her birth weight...weighing in at 8 pounds 2 ounces. She is in the 61st percentile for weight and 57th percentile for height.

Kensley Elise Roberts was born on Wednesday, November 4th at 1:44 p.m. She weighed 8 lbs and 3 ounces and was 20 and 1/4 inches long. She needed a little encouragement to come into this world, but made a quick debut! I was started on pitocin around 8:30 a.m. and by 1:00 p.m. was pushing! We are loving every minute with her and learning new things everyday! Here are a few pics from her first few days.

39 weeks...

Well the countdown has officially begun. We are currently scheduled to be induced on Wednesday morning, November 4, unless Brob decides to make her debut before. We have been making good progress over the past few weeks and our doctor sees no reason to make us wait until our due date. I am currently 4 centimeters dilated. I've been progressing from our first check 3 weeks ago where I was 2 cm dilated and 50% effaced (36.5 weeks), to 3.5 cm dilated and 75% effaced (almost 38 weeks) and then 4 cm dilated as of this past Friday. We're thankful that my body has been progressing naturally, but the waiting part has definitely been hard. I've been having quite a few contractions over the past week, but unfortunately all have been false labor. So in 72 hours or less, we will have a new addition to our family. We're getting excited and I have a feeling that these next few days will be a blur to us. Here is what we (or at least I) hope is the last picture of me pregnant!

Maternity Pictures...

Jeremy and I had maternity pictures taken several weeks ago...I was about 32 weeks when these were taken. We were a little apprehensive about getting them done, but I am really glad that we decided to do it. It'll be so fun to be able to look back on these and especially show Brob some day. This is the same photographer that will be taking Brob's pictures throughout the first year of her life. Here are a few of the many pictures that she took.

36 weeks and counting...

Well it's hard to believe that we are officially less than 1 month away from our due date. We have begun the daily countdown and are anxiously awaiting Brob's arrival! Here is a recent picture of me at 36 weeks...getting bigger by the day.

In other news, last weekend my friend Kate threw us the last of Brob's showers. It was such a nice afternoon to get together with the girls and catch up and eat delicious food. My college friend, Brey, also made the long trip over from Ohio to come to the shower. We had a great time catching up and visiting as well. Here is a picture of the ladies (minus my mom who was taking the picture).

I also had to include a picture of me and little baby Nolan Cobb. Our good friends, Erin and Travis, had their little boy on Friday, October 2nd. Here I am holding the sweet little 2 day old Nolan. They are all adjusting well and we can't wait to introduce Brob to her new friend!

Baby Shower #3...

This past week our good friends Wes and Erin Buente threw us a small couples baby shower. We had such a good time with everyone and enjoyed celebrating our little girl. Here are a few pictures of the shower.
