4 Months Old!

Well we are officially back to reality and happy to say that we survived the week! What a week! We knew our schedule would get more complicated, but had no idea that we’d feel this exhausted. We are hoping that we will all quickly adjust to our new schedule. Kensley is doing great and was quite the champ as we had to wake her up almost every day this week to feed and change her so that we could get out the door to work. Hopefully she’ll get used to the earlier mornings (she normally wakes up at 7:30 a.m. and we’re trying to move it up to 6:30 a.m.) and will wake up on her own.

Kensley is continuing to change and do new things every day. A week and a half ago she rolled over in her crib from her tummy to her back. She had been in bed asleep for about 2 hours and Jeremy heard her through the monitor. He went up to check on her and quickly yelled for me to come upstairs. After peeking into her crib we found her wide eyed on her back with her hands curled up under her chin. She looked like a deer in headlights and was clearly in shock as to what had just happened. Her face was priceless…I wish I would have thought to take the camera up with me. She’s since rolled over several times and seems to be more used to the idea.

Kens is really taking to her thumb these days. She still prefers her pacifier, but seems to be figuring out her thumbs more. She’s also really enjoying her exersaucer. She’s figuring out that she can push off the ground in it and is starting to play with the toys more.

This morning I took Kensley on her first walk in her jogging stroller. It was such a nice day, so we got all bundled up and walked around the neighborhood. She did great and I think she's going to really enjoy being outside. Here are a few pictures from our walk.

And here are a few pictures from the past week.

Talking and laughing with mommy.

Testing out her highchair. She looks so tiny in it!

Playing with daddy.

Exhausted after a full day. Relaxing with mommy before bed.

Kensley officially turned 4 months old yesterday! It's crazy how fast the weeks are flying by. We're trying to enjoy every stage with Kensley as we know time will go by too quickly. We had Kensley's 4 month appointment this afternoon. She received another round of shots and is continuing to grow like a weed! She is 15 lbs (79th percentile) and 24 3/4 inches long (69th percentile). The doctor said she looks great! Kens did pretty well...she didn't enjoy her shots, but she seemed to calm down after a few tears.

And now for pictures from our at home 4 month photo shoot!
