This past week we started Kensley on rice cereal. We figured once she finally got the hang of it she would really enjoy it. After all...this little girl loves to eat! It's been so fun to watch her as she tries to figure out how to get it into her mouth and then what to do with it once it's in there. We think she's finally got it down as last night I couldn't shovel it in fast enough for her. She gobbled up an entire bowl! Here are some pictures of her experience with cereal!
Hmmm....not quite sure about it yet.
Figuring it out and opening wide.
Trying to lick it off of her bib.
Sucking it off her fingers.
Mmmm...yummy.

Kensley continues to be a pleasant baby and everyday is getting more interested in her toys and life around her. She continues to talk to us and her toys in her sweet high pitched voice and has really taken to squealing more this past week. She is still a rolling machine (stomach to back) and many times a day we find her flipped onto her back in her crib just jabbering away. It's hard not to laugh when we peek over the crib to find her wide-eyed and smiling up at us as we quickly roll her over to get her back to sleep.
She's still a champion sleeper and is sleeping an average of 11.5 - 12 hours a night. She's starting to get used to our new schedule and several days this week woke up on her own at 6:30 a.m. - of course one of those days had to be this morning (my day off). We think Kensley is dropping her middle nap (the short one) and lately has been taking a long nap in the morning and long nap in the afternoon.
Here are a few pictures from the past week.
We finally got a new camera and are having fun playing with the color settings.
Such a cute little smile...mommy did a bad job of centering the camera, but the cutest part made the picture!
