Swinging, Visitors and Sickness...

Well in a nutshell, that's what we've been up to this past week...and yes, in that order. We took advantage of the warmer weather last weekend and took Kensley out for a few walks and trips to the park to swing. We weren't sure how Kens would do in the swing as she's still pretty little. We thought best to stuff her blanket around her so she wouldn't flop around in the swing. She LOVED swinging! As you can tell by the pictures below with her mouth wide open, she was having fun.

Please disregard my nose in the side of the picture. Focus on the cute little girl in the swing.

Having fun in the swing.

Picture time with mommy.

Day 2 in the swing...having even more fun!

Testing out her sunglasses

This has nothing to do with swinging...just had to post a picture of the first time she tried on her sunglasses. She's not a huge fan so far.

And now onto our visitors. On Wednesday, Nana, Auntie Ashley and Cousin Elli came to visit us. Ash came home with Elli for a few days and we were glad that they fit in time to visit with us. Of course we couldn't pass up the chance for a photo opportunity with the girls together. That proved to be no small feat...between both girls' feedings, diaper changes, naps and crying. Between our 3 cameras, we managed to get some good shots. Here are some pictures from our afternoon together.

You wouldn't believe how hard it was to get a picture where both girls didn't have their hands in their mouth. You can tell that my mom was holding onto their hands as we quickly shot some pictures. She was laughing at how strong they are!

Look mom...I can almost fit my entire fist in my mouth!

Sweet picture of the girls together.

So I had to share these two funny pictures of our first attempt at a photo of the girls together. Both of them were crying and clearly not thrilled about the idea. Kensley's face is so funny in the second picture...do you think we have a little drama queen on our hands?

And now for the sickness...sometime throughout this past week Kens developed a cold. The doc said it's normal this time of year with the change in seasons. Besides having lots of drainage, runny nose and a nasty cough, Kens seems to be doing ok. We could tell pretty quickly that she wasn't feeling well when she all of a sudden wasn't interested in eating. She's still sleeping and napping pretty well...with the exception of waking herself up from coughing. Despite being sick, she still loves her pacifier and tries hard to suck on it...even though she can't breathe well through her nose. We're hoping she gets over this pretty quickly as we can tell she doesn't feel great.

The rest of this week was pretty uneventful. Hopefully we'll be able to get lots more photos next week when our little girl is back to normal.

  1. We've been battling sickness too! Ugh! Hope everyone gets better soon and that you and Jeremy don't catch anything :)
