Summer Fun...

Well we don't have much to write about this week, but lots of pictures to share.  We're enjoying the summer weather with lots of trips to the pool and time spent outside.  As we say every week, Kensley is growing like a weed and changing everyday.  We love the stage she's in right now (of course we've loved every stage so far) and it feels like every day she's more and more fun and interactive.  We're getting glimpses everyday of her little (or maybe we should say big) personality.

Here's what we've been up to in the past week or so.

Fun times at the pool!

Such a sweet little girl!  We think she is starting to recognize the camera as she's much more generous with smiles when we break it out.  We might have a little ham on our hands!

This is one of Kensley's typical expressions/faces.

One of Kensley's latest tricks.  She has learned to sit up from laying on her tummy.  Now when we come to get her up from a nap or in the morning, she's often sitting up in her crib waiting for us.  Last week I came up to her room to check on her because she was crying shortly after I laid her down for her nap.  She was sitting up, hanging onto the crib rails with her head pressed against them and crying.  She looked so pathetic...like a little caged animal wanting out.  (she had thrown her pacifier on the floor...that's all she needed)

Fun at swim lessons with daddy.  Couldn't decide which picture to use...both were too cute!

Playing with the noodle.  Every toy she plays with in the pool goes into her mouth.

She was fascinated with the railing.

Floating on a lilly pad.

Little Miss Independent.  She loves to sit by herself in chairs.

The smile says it all...

Another "trick"...Kensley is so close to crawling and every attempt she makes to go for a toy she gets closer and closer to a successful crawl.  She just can't figure out how to make her hands and legs move simultaneously.  Despite not being able to crawl...this is an example of how she manages to move throughout the room very quickly.  Jeremy and I had been talking and had turned our heads for maybe 20 seconds.  The next thing we know she had moved across the room and managed to wedge herself in between the couch and chair.  By her expression you can tell she is proud of herself.
