This post was written yesterday, but for obvious reasons we didn't get around to posting it! We thought we'd just go ahead and post as written. Also no pictures this post...stay tuned for lots here soon!
Our baby girl (who won't be the baby for much longer) is 19 months old today! Time continues to fly by and Kensley is growing up right before our eyes. It's crazy to think that she is already 19 months old as this "milestone" has been in the back of our minds for quite some time. As this month, will be a big month for Kensley as she will become a big sister!

Kensley continues to keep us entertained and laughing as it seems like she is always doing something new. Her latest obsession is taking off her clothes. We think she likes the freedom in being able to do this on her own and accomplish it without help. We'll often come in to get her up from naps and occasionally in the mornings and find her just in her diaper. The other day, she managed to take her shorts, tank top and diaper off without any help. Definitely a little scary as I'm waiting for the time we find her in her crib naked and a mess (if you get my drift). Usually within minutes of getting into the car, she has pulled her shoes off. She likes to also try to dress herself as well and will often pull out her swim suits and try to put them on (this girl likes to swim!).
Kens still tries to repeat so much of what we say. We'll hear her repeating a word and phrase over and over again and try to figure out what she's saying...only to realize it's something we've recently said. Our favorite phrase out of her mouth right now is "oh really". One of us said it last week and Kensley kept saying "oh ree-ree" over and over...it was so funny. Everyday I feel like we hear her use a new word (accurately) and we're amazed at how much she is learning.
Kensley's attention span seems to be growing...right along with her love for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She'll often request it in the mornings, when waking from a nap or whenever she sees the TV on by saying "Bickey". She seems to sit with us longer each day and has even made it through an entire episode! Because Mickey is not always on, we usually play recorded versions from our DVR which Kensley seems to have memorized! She'll often say lines before they happen on the show...a sign that she watches it too much...yikes, maybe!
I don't think I've commented on Kensley's eating habits lately so I thought I would for documentation sake. Kens is still a pretty good eater. She loves her snacks and we always know when she's hungry as she lets herself into the pantry. Her favorite snack right now seems to be fruit snacks...she even requested them as I came to get her up this morning (and no I didn't oblige). She loves fruit...her favorite being blueberries and bananas, but she'll eat just about any kind of fruit. She doesn't love vegetables quite as much, but she does readily eat peas, corn and she LOVES black beans (specifically from Qdoba). Blueberry waffles or muffins are her breakfast of choice in the mornings. This little girl also has a sweet tooth...which she comes by honestly. She often requests "tooties" (cookies) no matter what time of day.
We are so thankful for our big girl and can't believe she is already 19 months old!
