So in typical fashion in our household, Kensley's birthday celebration extended far past one special day. Her birthday "week" started with a celebration at her school. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall that day in her class as she came home with lots of goodies. Her teachers made her a birthday certificate, princess crown, mommy sent treats for her little friends and she reported that they sang to her.
Thursday we celebrated with Grammy and Grampy as they brought over Kensley's present...a play kitchen which she loves! She spent quite a bit of time testing out all of the special sounds and "cooking" for us. She has specific places for all of her stuff and didn't like us touching/moving it (I wonder who she gets that from?!).
As I mentioned before, Kens and I spent the morning together at the children's museum on her actual birthday. Followed by a special dinner out with Mommy and Daddy...McD's cheeseburger, fries and shared milkshake (which she was not thrilled about sharing). Nana and Papa came down on Friday so we opened a few presents that night.
We had a small family party for her on Saturday which included all of her favorite people. The Lindvall family, complete with her BFF Elli, made the trip over for the weekend from Ohio, Great Grandma and Grandpa Zurcher and Carla came down, Nana and Papa, and Grammy, Grampy and Aunt Kym came as well. Kens really got into opening presents. She loved doing it, but would get caught up and want to play with the latest toy that she opened. Any clothes that she opened, she would pull out of the box and toss aside. Of course, those were mommy's favorite, as I can already envision her in those cute skirts, skinny pants and sweaters.

The rest of the weekend was less birthday celebration and more along the lines of chaos. After all, a house full of 4 kids 2 years old and under is pretty crazy. We had a family photo shoot with the 10 of us on the Brauchler side on Saturday late afternoon/evening. It went as expected...pretty crazy and we were all exhausted when it was over with. With the time change on Saturday night and the large amount of sugar consumed that day, Sunday was a long day. The girls were up early and of course going nonstop.
Here are two cute pics of the cousins.
| Lots of hugs were exchanged. They played pretty well together when they weren't fighting for the same toy! |

Happy birthday to our big 2 year old!
