Big girl panties...

We have finally entered the world of "big girl panties".  We have been working with Kensley on pottying training for the last week and a half or so.  We figured it was finally time as Kens has been going on the potty off and on for the past 11 months...for M&M's of course.  I am hesitant to say she is fully potty trained (as I don't want to jinx us), but I'd say we're pretty much there.  She has the occasional accident and we're working on consistent #2's on the potty, but she's doing great so far.

We went with the bare tushy approach and Kensley did much better recognizing that it was time to go.  We also used the timer and had her go every 15 minutes or so, unless she recognized she had to go sooner.  Our big test was at school on Tuesday.  We decided to send her in a pull-up for the day and she did great.  Her teachers put her on the potty throughout the day, but they said she never went.  She must of held it all day long because she was dry when she got home (she's gone from 8:30 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.)!

She also went to MOPS on Friday morning in big girl panties.  She made it over an hour and a half before they brought her to me.  I think she was nervous about having an accident and as of right now seems to shy away from using the potty unless it's in front of someone she is comfortable with. 

We still put Kens in a pull-up for naps and a diaper right before bed.  She usually requests to wear her big girl panties to bed so we end up putting them over her diaper or pull-up.  More often than not, she wakes up dry from her nap.

We finally have gotten away from rewards every time she goes on the potty.  When she went #2 on the big potty on her own, she got a "snow white dress" (which is just a Snow White nightgown that cousin Elli had and she wanted one too).  After a full day of no accidents and a #2 on the potty, she got a Snow White baby (doll).
