Our little peanut is 15 months old and feistier by the day! She definitely has a mind of her own and lets us know exactly what she wants (or doesn't want). She also knows exactly which buttons to push with Kensley and tends to "push" them frequently. She constantly goes after her blankey, sippy cup, toy, etc. and usually tries to swipe them quickly. Sometimes she'll even look at us with this sly smile whenever she's getting ready to do something she knows she shouldn't.
Avery wants to do everything like big sis. She loves to sit in Kensley's chair/carseat/booster, always wants whatever Kens is eating/playing with, wants to jump/dance/climb and just follow her anywhere. She has no fear and goes after everything.
Avery still has a healthy appetite and is a pretty good eater. She has little patience though and as soon as I head to the kitchen to prepare food, she is whining and wanting to eat immediately. Some of her favorite foods are bananas, mac and cheese, cheese, corn, yogurt, muffins and donuts (we try to limit these). She is still not a fan of milk and we even added almond milk to the list of "varieties of milk" we've tried.
Size wise, she's about the same. She is wearing 12 - 18 month pj's and in clothes size 6 - 12, 12 month and 12 - 18 month. She also is still wearing size 3 diapers, but I'm thinking we'll just work through our stash and then move onto 4's. She wears size 3 shoes, but I think could wear a 4 any day now.
Avery is adding some words/sounds to her vocabulary. Last week she started saying "I can't get it", but it sounds more like "Uh can ge ee". She says this whenever she needs help doing something. Jeremy said he wanted to help her, but it was too cute to hear her say it over and over again. Whenever I leave the room and Avery is looking for me, she'll often walk around the house yelling "Ma, ma, ma".
Avery is slowly dropping her morning nap. Some days she needs it, but most days we skip it. Often when we put her down in the morning, she doesn't sleep...just lays quietly with her paci's. I think that's really why she wants in her bed is because that's the only place we allow her paci's these days.
Avery loves to dance. Whenever she hears music, she starts dancing. She's also starting to get into playing with baby dolls. She likes to walk them in the stroller, feed them bottles and pat/snuggle them. Her favorite doll right now happens to be Baby Alive...Kensley's doll. You can imagine how well that goes over with big sis.
Only two pics for this month!
