Madelyn: 14 weeks old...

Just a quick little update with a few things that I don't want to forget about this stage with Maddy.

 

*  The way that she ALWAYS get the hiccups when she giggles or talks to us.

 

*  The way she gets "slap happy" when she is tired.  She is still so smiley even as her eyes are starting to close.

 

*  How she is such a Mama's girl right now.  She can be screaming or fussy when being held by someone else (even Daddy), but as soon as I take her she calms down.  I'm sure it's just a stage, but love my cuddle buddy.

 

*  How she fights sleep...seriously, this girl is determined!  We sit down in her rocking chair and she will arch her back, throw her head back and flail her arms, all the while fussing.  It usually only happens at naps (and only every so often).

*  The way she sticks out her bottom lip when she gets upset.  It's seriously so cute!

 A few milestones/happenings from this past week:

 

*  Maddy took her first long nap in her crib this past weekend!  It took some work as I was up multiple times to get her back to sleep, but she eventually conked out for several hours!  Woohoo!

 

*  She tried out her exersaucer for the first time this weekend and she loved it!  She actually stayed in it for about 15 minutes (2 different times) and loved standing and pushing off the bottom.
