Our spunky, little Avery is now 3 and a HALF years old. She is excited to tell people that she is no longer 3, but 3 and a HALF!
Avery loves to color, play school/mom, play with her babies and organize things. She still loves to sing and dance. She is our little "collector". We usually find purses and backpacks stuffed with random things or piles of toys and books hidden in her room. She has become such a great big sister to Maddy. She loves to mother her and Maddy loves following her around the house. She is quick to comfort Maddy and can often be found tickling (rubbing) her back and arms. She is also loving preschool this year: learning her letters, how to write/spell her name and playing with her best friend, Mallory.
Avery tends to be more of a "homebody" than Kensley is. She tends to thrive in small groups of people and usually gets overwhelmed and shy in large groups of people. In the past 6 months, she has enjoyed participating in activities with Kensley...dance and gymnastics. She is hesitant in new situations, but is quick to jump right in as soon as she is comfortable.
She is still our little snuggler and loves to be held or near us. Mealtimes are still a struggle with her and she is about the slowest eater known to man (which is a stark contrast to Maddy right now). Her favorite foods are peanut butter and jelly (which she requests for every meal), chicken nuggets, cereal, French fries, fruit, donuts and apple juice.
We still deal with tantrums/meltdowns every so often (as seems to be the trend for toddlers)...someone not waiting for her to walk down the stairs, wearing the "wrong" shoes, covering her up wrong, etc. She is usually quick to recover though and back to her happy, silly self. She is quite the comedian and loves to be silly with her sisters.
We are so thankful for this spunky little girl. Happy HALF birthday, Avery Leigh!
