We spent Thanksgiving up at Nana and Papa's house again this year with the Brauchler/Zurcher side of the family. The girls and I went up early (Wednesday) to spend a little extra time there. We actually were a little delayed in heading up as Kens had been sick with the flu for about 5 days prior and we made a quick trip to the doc on Tuesday. Fortunately she was on the mend by the time we went up.
The Lindvall family and Daddy came on Wednesday evening and everyone stayed at Nana and Papa's that night. After dinner, Santa (a local high school student) made a surprise visit to the house. The kids sat on his lap and he handed out presents. Avery and Maddy flipped out and neither wanted to sit or be photographed with him. So we were 1 for 3 on the first Santa encounter of the year.
On Thanksgiving, Grandma and Grandpa Brauchler, Grandma and Grandpa Zurcher and Aunt Carla all came to spend the day together. We all enjoyed a great meal and naps before making our Black Friday shopping plan.
On Friday, Mom, Ashley and I had our annual Black Friday Shopping trip. We started around 4 am and were back to our house around 1 pm that day. It was a full day of shopping and crowds!
Saturday we had Thanksgiving with Grammy and Grampy Roberts and Aunt Kym. We noticed that night that Avery started to complain of a tummy ache. Being as though it was three full days after Kensley was sick, we didn't think much of it. Unfortunately, she seemed to have something similar to Kensley as she was up most of the night with diarrhea. So Sunday we all stayed home from church and tried to get healthy.
