Disney 2015: Part 1...

We just got back from a great week long Disney vacation with the Roberts' family.  It was a fun week filled with lots of memories!  I took soooo many pictures and the week was action packed so I plan to break the days up into several posts (so it's fully documented for the blog book)!
We ended up leaving on Friday, June 12 around 7:30 pm and drove straight through the night.  The girls did pretty good...a little short on the sleep end, but in good spirits.  We arrived on Saturday to our Disney resort (Port Orleans French Quarter) around 11 am.  We ate some snacks and headed straight to the pool.  Saturday night, we headed to downtown Disney to eat at Rainforest cafe and then called it an early night.

My big girl!  She was at a pretty good age for the trip...but just about an inch too short for the bigger rides.
Daddy and his girls at Rainforest Cafe
Bus ride back to the hotel...we pretty much had it to ourselves!
Sunday was our first official day and we started at Epcot.  The highlight of day 1 was our Princess lunch at Akershus.  We ate at 11 am which seemed to be the perfect time as it was on the tail end of breakfast and we immediately saw all the princesses.  Maddy led the princess parade with Cinderella around the restaurant!  We headed back to the hotel in the afternoon for naps and then went to the pool and park.

The lighting wasn't great in the restaurant, but thought these pics were cute!

The first time they have slept in a bed together!
Day 2 (Monday) we headed to Hollywood Studios.  Some of the highlights from Day 2 were the Frozen Sing-a-long (Kens sang every word to every song), the Little Mermaid show, lunch with the Disney Jr crew at Hollywood and Vine and the Toy Story ride.  Avery and Maddy took cat naps in the stroller that afternoon so we skipped naps at the hotel.  We ended up back at the hotel around 4 pm and headed straight to the pool.
 Bus pictures!
This one should be captioned "sweet and spicy"...you can decide who is who.  Kens was pumped for the Frozen sing-a-long, Avery was not so thrilled.
Kym, Jeremy and I conquered the "Tower of Terror"!
Trying on silly hats as we sought refuge in the air conditioned store (it was SO HOT!)
"Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" brought back lots of memories from me there as a child (however, I am sure some of it has been re-done since I played there).
Doing tricks with Daddy at the pool
 Stay tuned for part 2...
