Well Kensley had quite the memorial day weekend filled with lots of new experiences and fun with family! Kensley started off the weekend by trying out her new baby pool at our house. We thought it'd be fun to get her a little pool to have at home and I guess you could say that we got what we paid for. The pool was only $5 and it is tiny! It only holds several inches of water, but it was a good first experience for Kens. Here are a few pics of her first "swim".
The water was a little too chilly at first.
Still not quite sure...her face says it all.
A few toys (and some warmer water) make it so much more enjoyable.
She loved her little fountain!
And of course she has to try to get it in her mouth. She loved licking the water off the sides.

On Saturday, we went over to Grammy and Grandpa Roberts house to take a ride on their new boat! This was Kensley's first boat ride and she did great! She wasn't a huge fan of her life jacket, but it was definitely a must (it scares mommy to even think about her falling out of the boat without it on). We unzipped it about halfway through the ride as she's still a little small for it and it kept riding up on her face. Her little arms couldn't reach around the jacket to her mouth...so handing her toys was torturous as she couldn't get them to her mouth!

Sunday we hit up the YMCA pool for Kensley's first official trip to the "big" pool. She did really well and seemed to enjoy herself. She loved watching all of the kids (it was packed so there was lots going on) and she liked playing in the water fountains. We didn't capture any smiles, but did get some cute pics of the bathing beauty playing in the water.
Testing out the chilly kiddy pool.
Sucking the water off of her fingers.
Loving the spraying fountains.
Such a cutie!

Today, Nana and Papa Brauchler came down to visit and spend the day with us. We all went to the pool once again and our little fishy had fun sitting in the kiddy pool and swimming with the big kids. We unfortuantely didn't get any pictures from today, but we're sure Kens had a great time as she took a nice long 2.5 hour afternoon nap!
We were so thankful to have a nice long weekend to relax together and experience lots of new 'firsts' with Kensley. We're looking forward to lots more boat rides and trips to the pool this summer with our little fishy.
