Sweet Maddy is 7 months old (and a few days)! As with every month, she is changing so much and growing like a weed!
Maddy rarely sits still and is thisclose to crawling. She can go from sitting to all fours and tries so hard to crawl forward before flattening out on her tummy. She can scoot backwards and manages somehow to move around some on the floor. Here is a little video of her.
She continues to love the attention of her sisters (and, well, anyone actually). The girls can both really get her giggling. She loves to watch them play and is usually looking for them whenever she hears their voices.
Maddy is still the happiest, little thing and is very generous with her smiles and giggles. She continues to be a Mama's girl and stranger anxiety seems to be in full force. This past month was her first time in childcare (during MOPS) and she did pretty well. They said she cried a little at first, but eventually calmed down. She played and took a nap and seemed to enjoy the attention of being held and rocked.
We continue to try solids and haven't made much progress. Maddy loves to eat the Gerber biter biscuits and Baby Mums. She isn't a huge fan of baby food and prefers to feed herself. We've tried pieces of grilled cheese, bread, apples, pears and yogurt. We have started giving her a sippy cup of water as well...not sure she is getting much out though.
Maddy still nurses every 3-4 hours during the day and takes the occasional bottle. She is sleeping better now that we have finished up the second round of antibiotics for her ear infection (fingers crossed this one kicked it for her). She is going to bed around 6:30ish most nights and usually wakes to eat between 4/5 am and then goes back to sleep until 6:30/7 am. She typically takes 2 naps a day and unfortunately the timing varies from day to day depending on what all we have planned.
She still manages to wear a variety of sizes...she can still wear a few 3-6 month shirts, but is mostly in 6 month, 9 month and 6-12 month clothes and sleepers. She has moved into size 3 diapers.
Here is her 7 month photo shoot (just a few days late). Also today was the first day for a hairclip (hanging on by a few strands)!
