Madelyn: 11 Months Old...

We are officially less than a month away from Maddy turning a year old! It's so hard to believe that she is already 11 months old!

She is acting older everyday and is no longer content to just sit and play. She is into everything and can get places quickly. She has discovered the stairs and now loves to climb all the way up to the top. Whenever we take off to follow her up (so she doesn't fall down), she thinks we are chasing her and will usually giggle and start climbing faster.

Maddy is such a happy baby. She is quick to give smiles, giggles and waves. She is still such a Mama's girl and tends to do better with new people when I am not around. She definitely let's us know (loudly) when she doesn't like something. She usually stretches out and makes her body stiff as a board when she doesn't want put down or handed off to someone.

Maddy loves to be outside. She loves to swing and play in the water. Maddy still loves to be held, snuggled and be tickled (back scratched). Still a thumb sucker and she loves her blankies (just like big sisters). She loves to play upstairs in the playroom, usually crawling all over and pulling things off the shelves.

Maddy is definitely branching out with foods. She seems to be in a growth spurt as she is constantly hungry and eating a lot! Some of her favorite foods are: blueberries, cheese, corn, chicken nuggets, applesauce, puffs and baby crunchies. She is still nursing three times a day.

Maddy is cruising all around furniture, can balance pretty well and move between items easily. It's so fun to watch her discover new things. She loves to clap and will often join in when she hears clapping or cheering. She often waves at strangers in passing or family whenever she leaves a room. She loves to dance to music and will jump (bounce up and down) when we ask her to.
